eFile allows you to automatically link to external files associated with your customers. If you would like to use this feature, call Agemni Support and request that they turn on the eFile feature. Once it is enabled, you will have a new menu item under Admin > Preferences called eFile (Admin > Preferences > eFile). Navigate to this page and you will see a number of options displayed. Agemni has partnered with a company name eFileCabinet, which provides you with sophisticated document management capabilites if needed. 

  • Link Type
    • Choose Standard as a Link Type if you wish to integrate with your eFileCabinet system. 
    • Otherwise select Custom” to use Agemni’s built-in file linking system. You will be asked to specify the type of file you will link to (.PDF, .JPG, .TXT, etc.). 
  • Contract Saved by lets you determine how your documents will be saved. You can save them by your client’s Account #, Agreement #, or Work Order #.  The file you link to will have to be named with one of these 3 identifiers. 
  • The Itranet IP input box is where you enter the location of these files on your company intranet.  Agemni will direct every eFile inquiry to this location. You could enter http://www.myCompany.com/documents/ and all that would be necessary is for you save your documents by the specified identifier, and place them in your specified intranet folder. For example, if you wanted to save a photo of customer # 234’s home, you might name the photo 234.jpg and place it in your intranet folder. This makes it so that when you click on the eFile button from this account, you would directed to the photograph.
