Assign Jobs by Map

Assign Jobs by Map allows you to view and schedule appointments for a specific date which you select in the appointment date field in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

Steps to Assigning Jobs by Map

  1. Select the appointment date then the area you would like to view the appointments in. 
    1. These appointments can be sorted by zip code, technician, city, or name depending on what you select in the sorting dropdown. You can view as many as 50 jobs at a time on the map. 
  2. Once your criteria is selected the appointment information will populate. 
    1. On the left hand side of the screen you will see the basic appointment information. The customer name is a hyperlink that you may click on to be directed to the customer page. You may select a technician to install the job in the technician dropdown here if you would like. 
    2. One the right hand side of the screen you will see the map populated with the appointments for the area you selected. 
    3. The assigned appointment number will appear on the map for each job. If you move your mouse over a job number the detailed appointment information will pop up. Here you may change or add a technician to the job and view the install information. 
  3. The number shown on the map for each appointment is color coded to correlate with the  scheduler found under Customers > Schedule. The outside border of the appointment number on the map indicates whether the job has been assigned or not.
    1. Redmeans Not Assigned
    2. Green means Assigned
    3. *or * indicates the location confidence
    4. "*" indicates that the location confidence is low
    5. "**" indicates that the location is invalid
  4. The box background color of the appointment number on the map is color coded based on the type of open job:
    • Yellow- Open Install
    • Purple - Open Equipment Pull
    • Red- Open Trouble
    • Pink- Open Service
  5. Technicians only show up in the drop down if:
    • They have Area Rights
    • They do not have time off (HR > Lookup Employee > Time Off) during or overlapping the appointment time
    • They are scheduled as available (HR > Lookup Employee > Schedule) during or overlapping the appointment time
    • They are not already assigned an appointment during or overlapping the appointment time.

**NOTE** We have added a "+" button to the "Route Jobs by Map" page (Customers > Routing > Route Jobs by Map) that will expand the size of the map. You can use the larger viewing area to route more of your jobs at the same time.
